A Mid-Century Renovation
Drawn to the old McBride’s Office Supply building’s original Mid-Century Modern architecture, Kurt Wallenborn, Prosper developer and broker, knew he’d found his next great restoration project.
It was paramount to preserve the integrity of the building, such as its breezeblock and double front doors, terrazzo floors, and several wooden roll-out windows. He also replicated in steel the individual rectangular wooden letters that spelled “McBride’s” using similar-styled letters to spell “Prosper.”
Wallenborn has applied to have the structure added to the National Register of Historic Places.
